Thomas Schütt

1979 am Mittelrhein geboren, studierte er Philosophie und Germanistik in Heidelberg (Magister Artium) und absolvierte eine private Schauspiel- und Sprechausbildung sowie Trainings in der Kunst des Gehens bei Elke Schmid in Mannheim. Zahlreiche internationale Kooperationen als Performer, Regiemitarbeiter und Dramaturg in den Bereichen Tanz, zeitgenössisches Theater und Performance Art. Künstlerischer Berater in multidisziplinären Diskursen. Er ist Ensemblemitglied von EX!T Ausgangspunkt Theater, gehört dem Künstlerkollektiv Karpatentheater an und ist Mitbegründer von ÉCOLEFLÂNEURS.

Thomas Schütt ist Mitglied der Dramaturgischen Gesellschaft e.V. sowie des LaFT – Landesverbandes freie darstellende Künste Berlin e.V

In den Jahren 2021 und 2022 wurde seine Arbeit gefördert vom Fonds Darstellende Künste aus Mitteln der Beauftragten der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien sowie von der Dezentralen Kulturarbeit des Bezirksamtes Tempelhof-Schöneberg in Berlin.

Born in 1979 on the Middle Rhine, he studied philosophy and German language and literature in Heidelberg (Magister Artium) and completed private acting and speech classes as well as training in the Art of Walking with Elke Schmid in Mannheim. Numerous international collaborations as a performer, director collaborator and dramaturge in the fields of dance, contemporary theater and performance art. Artistic consultant in multidisciplinary discourses. He is an ensemble member of EX!T Ausgangspunkt Theater, belongs to the artist collective Karpatentheater and is co-founder of ÉCOLEFLÂNEURS.

Thomas Schütt is a member of the Dramaturgische Gesellschaft e.V. as well as LaFT – Landesverband freie darstellende Künste Berlin e.V.

In 2021 and 2022, his work was supported by the Fonds Darstellende Künste with funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media and by the Dezentrale Kulturarbeit of the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district office in Berlin.
